Locating Podcasts

Thing # 21:
Podcast.net is a wonderful site to locate sites of podcasts.

Exploring a Web 2.0 Award Winning Site

Thing # 19:
Podomatic allows one to create, find, and share podcasts. This would be a useful tool to broadcast information on library classes and seminars. However, I am not sure this site is well-known to all library users.

Podcasts could also be used on library web sites to broadcast training on how to use the catalog and online databases.

Online Productivity Tools

Thing # 18:
I took a look at Zoho Writer and Think Free. I also used a great tool at Draw Anywhere to produce flow charts.

Wiki, Wiki, Wiki

Things 16 & 17:
I read about wikis and played in the Maryland Libraries Sandbox. I posted a recommendation on
the "Crazy About Mysteries" wiki.

The Future is NOW!

Thing # 15:
Librarians/information professionals are coming out of the library and into the real world. In other words, great librarians ,who are web 2.0 savvy, will become more "user friendly".
